Metro,

Everyone is son, until proven otherwise!!

I am quite content to be addressed as "son" - it makes me feel like I am "one of the boys".

Just want to pose a hypothetical Q.

There are five Australians who each have in their possession, a birth certificate with my name as their "mother".
Would this be sufficient proof in your opinion that I am not a "son"??

Shalom.

"Granny".

The Sniper,

Do you print off the forum chatter and take it to the toilet with you,

or do you take your laptop or similar electronic communication device?

Gai,

It is a term of endearment son. The Ferret does not want to discriminate. Next, you'll be saying HD don't cater for F graders. I won't have it son, hence my unbiased approach to all. Shalom

At Blackhill on the weekend D grade almost caught C grade.

Think it was combination of the previously mentioned C graders (riding down a grade for CD) chasing the slackers from B grade (who were also riding down a grade).

Anyone in D grade concur?

Napalm,

D grade did catch CD C grade, but when you looked about D grade there were some who race B grade @ club level, or are the truly competitive riders in club C grade, who were in CD D grade.  The smart club B graders rode a smart race and finished well.

Vince Keir deserves special mention - drove C grade hard.

Fun to hear some KOCC people angry with other KOCC members for chasing them down in the final lap...cough cough.

From my unusual perspective (which, before Masso or Ferret get in, might mean actually finishing a race but what I mean is the riding of a SS which really was fun and different) I did not think CD D grade was riding all that hard - the attacks were pretty soft and between these attacks the pace was pretty slow.

Which makes me think CD C grade were riding quite slow indeed.  Sure they had an additional lap, but my feeling is most of those who finished in D grade could have hung in there for another lap - it was not that tough.  Being kind to C grade, perhaps they had a real attack - wait - attack type of race, which can reduce average lap times.
Well, no merger so far....

Gai,

How do you know The Ferret's name is not the father on these same five birth certificates? I just want to put it out there son. I am the prodigal breeder.

Hey Metro,

It was probably a combination of a few things.  When the KOCC riders were off the front, no one from the club chased.  Most of the other riders from the other clubs were happy to let them sit there for a while until they were finally pulled in.

It was not that hard a race in C grade yet only about half the field finished.  I guess the 30-odd in D chasing the 12 left in C that were in no hurry meant the catch was made.

Cheers,
