I was not the only former B grader last night who decided against joining in what passes for a sprint in C. Suppose I just have to regrow some testicles and take a chance. Sadly when in B grade I never thought there was much risk at all. Either my assessment of risk has altered or the risk has altered.

i was more worried when we were going past the clubhouse before the sprint with all the riders swinging off and not holding their lines...

Key - yep, it started there. Strange thing was I had decided I would not sprint way back there, and was chating with another rider who was doing the same, and without any effort we were back on. Seemed odd to put in an effort, then back off and so give away the benefit of the effort. I wonder whether people were just shattered?
Well, no merger so far....

i think it got to the point where before the turnaround, no one thinks they are strong enough to be able to to a pull on the front and also have some left for the sprint, making every one back off...

then again, the sprint wasn't that fast anyways...
