Despite the appalling heat (at least 42C!) over 70 riders, many from the Hunter and many from the Central Coast, attended what is one of the very best crit courses in the State for an exhausting afternoon of racing. Thanks to all of those who travelled up to race, and to those who travelled up to watch. MVCC were chuffed with the turnout, and as usual ran a great day.
Moves of the day - Mick Rand's attack at the end of the A grade race, which to the surprise of some held (never doubt a ranga...) and that wily fox Mr K Hatch OHM (Order of Hard Men) staying of the front of C grade.
Other things of note: Fast Gai also attacked the G graders but they 1-2'd her in the end, but an impressive ride by all in G grade. Eric B clipped a pedal and fell, took a lap out, and got back in to work with Matt Worth for an impressive second - always impressive when someone loses a fair bit of skin but keeps going.
