Track - is it the new thing?
« on: January 04, 2011, 05:47:07 pm »
I have noticed some of the groovers and shakers in road racing developing or re-developing a keen interest in track racing.  EVen the HDCC Handicapper, and the Minmi Mayor, have dusted off their old track bikes and been sighted at Broadmeadow - sadly both in skinsuits.  Theories?
Well, no merger so far....

Metor,

Both needed a reason to don the skinsuit again. They could hardly wear it in a team time trial on the road or an individual time trial. Well, they could, but they would look even more foolish, if that is possible. Shalom

Metro,

Son, change your little script at the bottom. Your club is against a merger and HD has seen the light and realises anyone with a brain will come over anyway. Shalom

MC,

just to point out a minor error in your first post on this topic, both riders are on new bikes, not their old ones. Just as well as the old machines would be rather rusty (like my legs) after such long period of non use.

Just addressing an errored error. Above mentioned hcper is not on a new track bike. he has been on this bike for a number of years you just haven't seen him race before.
keep it rubber side down

Well there you go, it has been a while hasnt it. The last time I saw him on the track was when he fell off whilst high on the bank as his tyres would maintain grip at a low speed.

Now, what I have I been telling you about riding at 2ndwheel? Stop doing it 2ndwheel !!
