Tall Tales with Gavin Vickers

The Story of Summiting Mt Everest

Gavin Vickers is looking to help a mate. His mate, Brian Radcliffe, is a cycling enthusiast who has had a major setback. Brian suffered terrible injuries in a crash in March 2009 at the Newcastle Velodrome. He has recovered but requires full time care, the house he shares with his wife Robyn requires modification, and they need a modified vehicle that will accept his electric wheelchair.

Gavin Vickers is also a cyclist and an adventurer that has climbed Mt Everest (8848m) from the Tibet side of the mountain leading a team to the summit on the 24th May 2010.

Gavin has not only climbed to the top of the world but has also climbed many other giant Himalayan peaks including the world’s sixth highest peak Mt Cho Oyu (8201m) without using oxygen and also travelled and trekked to all corners of the globe.

Gavin is just an ordinary person who has a love of adventure and loves to push himself to achieve the goals.
His life experiences make his talks valuable to any group and as a former small business owner he understands the value in bringing a speaker to deliver a presentation that gets the audience thinking and re-evaluating their own goals and aspirations.
