Hit by car
« on: November 10, 2010, 06:54:50 pm »
Got hit by a silver 4wd today at merewether on the ride into work
Was coming onto the round about on corner of parks way and Darby st

4wd decided to over take me then park ran into me hitting my knee and pushed me into the gutter
Lady driver didn't even see me as she was looking into her hand bag

Bikes fine , knee is bruised and tender , bit of a cut , police did jack all !

Lady didn't even give a rip on how serious the situation was

If it was a child or a inexperienced rider it might of been broken bones or worse

Good to hear you're ok SS.

Seeing as this is the second such post in as many days it seems the f**kwits are out in force these last couple of days. Had an action-packed ride this morning with idiot pedestrians and drivers doing their best to put us onto the tarmac.

Stay safe everyone!

Yeah glad to hear both riders reporting these hits are OK.

Hope you both make speedy recoveries.

I would hate to sound like a chauvinist pig but woman + 4wd scares me, why they need a 4x4 when you could get a great german sedan for less $$ is beyond me.
Also I make a point of taking the whole lane when entering most roundabouts so idiots cant squeeze me into the gutter.

Keep complaining to the Police to charge the **** - the police have a duty to investigate.  If they don't, move up the chain of command. Some cops are useless - most are good.
Well, no merger so far....

Cops ended up doing nothing

Should be a place to publicy shame these people

Nothing ever seems to be done unless it's urgent or some is dead !

If you want to pursue it -  insist the cops do an accident report because you need it for medical/bike insurance claims.
