Back with a Vengeance. This time it's Personal
« on: October 31, 2010, 10:42:13 am »
MC is back in B grade. (HVV)
He made it by the end of the year as the prophesy foretold.
Congratulations.
The race today was not as fast as the teams race a few weeks ago. However, I suddenly realised in the final straight that everyone in the grade are sprinters & they can all sprint faster than me.

DW. (track star)

Now that you are a serious track rider it will not take long to reverse you thought process at the gang and think I am a sprinter now and I can win. As for Metro and his new mental state and new lack of training regime it wont be long before the rot sets in and the inevitable slide into the abyss of mediocrity  which has been so evident in the last couple of years.

Yours truly,

Life coach to the bunters.

DW, thank you for your kind words.  I found the time before and after my puncture "ok" - no chance of not being there until the sprint. Very glad to be back. Will now start training to ensure I remain there.

2W, did you catch a glimpse in the mirror this morning and get a case of the grumps?  If I slide back again it will be because of lack of talent, not application. Shalom.
Well, no merger so far....

Metro to far from home

The mirror from my side looks fine thank you very much, just a fine glow of admiration.

You sell yourself short in many ways. You have a great deal of talent, but the application is a little short some times. You have also been awarded the perpetual trophy for 2010 for riding in the most number of grades in a calender year.

your truly
2009 winner.

2W,
Ahh yes, the fine glow of self admiration all sprinters have.  I am told Commando gets a woody around any slightly reflective surface, so his long suffering wife (his kids have the inherited the large box shaped head, so their delivery to this world must have been like riding Sugarloaf 20 times on a 120 inch gear towing Gav Vickers, but I digress ) hiding shiny things from within Chateau Le Boxhead.
Well, no merger so far....

MC,

Is there another B Glendenning or did you come 4th in D grade on Friday?
Q1: What are you doing in D grade?
Q2: What are you doing coming 4th in grade?
Q3: Didn't your CCC sponsors miss you at Nth Wyong?

2nd Wheel lived up to his name on Friday. Neil Skillen (WAMM) the victor. He also beat me on the Sunday.

DW

If I am not mistaken, I saw a rider (and spoke briefly with him) who resembled MC when I was at the North Wyong crit last Friday.

Is this how he places in races?  being in two places at once!

No CCCC sponsors for this "granny" rider who has to chase the rest of D grade as E is reserved for those far younger (but not
necessarily slower).

( nevertheless, crits are still the most fun one can have for a road race).

DW,

I raced B grade (5th, by a 2W todger) at Wyong last Friday. The 4th in D grade in courtesy of my good friend the HD Handicapper...

Metro

Dont beat yourself up (pardon the pun reference to todger) but you may have been outclased by the local trackies ( Steve Chapman former National sprinter of the 70's & 80's) .

DW - good result.  You might need to buy a skinsuit with that kind of form on the track.

Then I will have to shave my legs.
Then my arms will look too hairy so I will wax them,
Then my chest will be the next bastion to fall.
Before I know it I will be getting a back, crack & sack and going to Kylie Minogue concerts.
It's a slippery slope.

DW

You are already on that slippery slope; you just haven't realized it yet. Metro is so far down that slope he is like a fly looking into a pitcher plan ( no way out of that sucker).

DW  here’s a couple of products you may find usefull.

Don't get too carried away DW, no one has to look under the skinsuit.
