looks a bit like the splinters that came out of Masso's shoulder!

All Saturday morning velo attendees please note that this Saturday will not see a session on the track. Most will be heading to Sydney for the T/P. Good luck to all entrants.

MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Malaysian cyclist Azizulhasni Awang staggered across the line at the Track World Cup with a bronze medal and a 7.8-inch piece of wood sticking through his left calf.

I noticed none other than the great Masso cutting some laps of the velo last week.

Will he be back this week?

For all others, its the second week of the track championships tomorrow night folks. Turn up and keep you competition honest!

you will note Masso that I kindly left that information out of my blog.

I also didnt write that we had to get the blower out after you left. We had to get all the splinters off the track, that collar bone of yours,,,

Ahhh....

so this is the elusive training method that would explain my comparative lack of form.

(not comparing myself with Masso of course - he is well and truly faster and  more race savvy than I).

so the 2010 - 2011 track championships have been run & won.

winners are:
A grade - Reece Robinson (and yes, I am very proud)
B grade - Rob Bishop
C grade - Carsten Chapman
D grade - Scott Dallen
Women - Hayley Follett
Juniors A - Amelia Follett
Juniors B - Jack Ford

A grade was not decided until the last race of the night where Ryan Pawl pushed hard all the way.
B grade was close with Brett Stafford only missing out by 2 points
C grade was young v older where Carsten had to dig deep to beat Brad MacDonald
D grade had another youngster Adam Ortolani going close to the win
Women's was close between Hayley and Anna Mountford
Junior A had Oscar Hourn and Nicola MacDonald taking points and riding pb's
Junior B was also very keen
Congrats all

that would have to be one of the best sports reports that I have ever read.

Written so aptly for the situation - a quick summary of last night's championships.
Short and sweet with the relevant information and references to the highlights of the action with credit to those who were competitive
but missed out on the gold.

Congratulations.

from one who, back in the days when I didn't work 7 day weeks, used to write reports on hockey and athletics for the Nunawading Gazette.

7:30, but you really need to be there by 7:00 to get registered and have a warm up.
