What happens when someone claims the wrong place?

Saw it tonight in C grade where the 3rd placegetter claimed 2nd.  I was watching from side on, as I had finished my race and he got rolled for sure.  I mentioned this to him but he said it was too close to call and thought he got 2nd. 

Also heard rumblings that the A grade places were not correct.

It can be difficult for some people to judge where they have come when it is close. If two people claim the same place then other info can be considered, incl video if taken (Vets usually record finishes).

Unless it isd a significant races most people will not get too precious about it - just racing for fun.
