« on: October 11, 2010, 03:41:52 pm »
7:30 PM Wednesday 13th October track racing at Newcastle Velodrome.

Warm up Scratch races, Wheel Race, Missing out races & Combined Scratch races.

Also if the sprinters want some sprint practice Central Coast Club are hosting a sprint series event on Wednesday 13th October at Adcock park Gosford, it will be a replica of the Sydney Sprint Serries (to be ran Oct 24)

Crafty wants to run the same format to iron out any bugs he may have in his programming.

Format
6pm warm up

6:30pm 200m fly's ... this will seat everyone into grades.
Round 1 Sprint 2up sprint
Round 2 Sprint 2up Sprint
Round 3 Best of 3 sprints

Does this mean that we are having a sprint series on Wed Oct 13 at Newcastle before the "usual races"??

or is this the timetable for the CCCC sprint series?

Just a query from a world champion sprinter!!- my year of glory is almost ended.

Guaranteed you won't be the slowest.

World Champion "granny" does 17 point something

(those with a Y chromosome easily go faster than that)

Come along and "just do it"

My PB as a junior on restricted gearing was in the early 11s  - i reckon now i could probably ride sub 12 - mid 11s with a few months track work. Just wondering what times i'd have to do to be competitive against the Sydney riders. My 12-18 month goal after starting track next year is to ride a sub 11second 200m

No that is the CCCC sprint series.

The Newcastle program will be similar to last weeks.

what sort of times are they doing for the flying 200s?

1   Timothy McMillan    11.00
2   Paul Fellows    11.13
3   Jamie Green    11.21

From the last Sydney sprint series, for more info see here.
