Calga is a great course. 50km.
My calves cramped up on the last turn. I rode through it but was no match at the end. The hill hurt me.

The winner deserved it. David from Kooragang in D grade. Excellent ride and very fit. He took off early in the 2nd lap and was not caught until just before blood hill where he rode away on the hill. The rest contested for the minor placings.

MC rode very well down the hills.

I am a downhill specialist...

I thought I was going fine until Blood Hill - confident enough to think "I may make this two in a row".  My brain should learn to listen to my legs - "No means no".  If I had have stayed with the pack I reckon my rear tyre would still have had air in it too.
Well, no merger so far....

No longer a Hubbard or a Commuter, just a very naughty boy.
