People will really hate me for saying this, but I hope it is Lance.  I really like the idea of a guy close to my age winning the race.  However, that said, I think Cadel is in with a shake and I would be very happy if he wins.
Well, no merger so far....

I don't think anybody stands a chance against Contador, I hate to say.

2nd - one of the Schlecks.

well with Lance at odds of nearly 8:1 those of you supporting the impossible may wish to throw some cash down the drain. Contado for sure (unfortunally)

Yes, probably Contador, but you never know.

Can only hope it's as entertaining as the Giro was.

Big poster of the race from Ride TDF edition stuck on the wall tonight.

Cancellara - as long as his batteries don't die on him up the climbs :P

Is Cadel's team strong this year?
He did not seem to get much help in Italy.
I think he lost heaps of time on one stage and that was it for him.

Ballan was stood down from racing during the Giro, Hincapie and some others where racing in California and a couple of other team mates were either injured just before the race or during the crashes in the first three days. Having said that I still think Cadel will still find himself alone a lot in the mountains where Vino and Contador or the Schleks or Lance and Levi can team up and isolate him.

I've never really thought of Cancellara as a GC contender. I think he's listed as more of a Super-Domestique for the Schlecks, and is more suited to smashing a time trial.

In my completely non-expert opinion I think Cadel's year was 2008, and he won't better his best so far. I would love nothing more than for Cadel to jump onto the top spot of the podium, but I just don't feel he has it in him. This won't stop me from barracking wildly for him, and therefore not being able to get to sleep after watching exciting summit finishes.

Thor - those odds are worth putting some cash on.

The Domestique picked last nights winner (bit easy backing the favourite).  My pick ran 2nd.

Armstrong looking strong.  Did Thor get some money on him?
