Tuesday night track training
« on: October 27, 2009, 09:13:00 pm »
It's a happening thing.

6pm start Tuesdays if not raining.

$5.

A good work out and Craig Chapman is keen to get more people in to improve skills.

Well run by Mick and Olivia on alternate weeks.

A must if you want to get faster, or, it's the cheats way of getting some good training without having to spend too long on the bike.

I know this thread was started on the previous forum, but I was wondering about the hire bikes; are there any that would hold up a 100 keg rider? If so, what is the damage to hire one? Do we need to bring our own pedals? On that note, is there anyone out there that is interested in selling a track bike? I'll chuck a post on the "Wanted to buy/sell" section also. Cheers

I have raced on one of them and it handled my 100 kg no problems, even with a fast A grade motor pace event, and a standing start wheelrace.

One of the Avanti or Hillbrick bikes would cope quite easy, even some of the older steel framed ones would handle fine, as they all pretty much have heavy duty wheels.

The bike hire is the same fee as the normal track fee, basically free bike but you pay for the usage of the track.
No longer a Hubbard or a Commuter, just a very naughty boy.

Tuesday nights are great, looking forward to the racing this year.

Are there any other training sessions on the track, informal or otherwise?
