The "Track Training when it's raining" thread
« on: May 18, 2010, 05:06:59 pm »
18th May -

Are we on for tonight? Wet roads at my place and scattered showers on the radar.

EDIT - Just packed bike and gear up, went to load the car and it's now raining again, with more on the way. Abort.

Yeah the rain cometh and we have to give the velo a miss.

One of the many things being worked on is a link to let you all know when the decision is made to go ahead or give it a miss. We will let you know as soon as we can get this done.

This time I didn't get caught packing the car and driving to Neath or further East before turning back.

.The weather out here in the west was pretty dry (though cloudy) all day.  So I checked with my daughter who attends Merewether High - can't get much closer to the 'drome than that and also checked with a good mate  who works from Cardiff for a second opinion. After these consultations, no bike equipment exited the house.

I even managed to do a workout on the ergo this time, instead of getting involved in time-wasting activities first.

Robbo,
it would be great when a cancellation announcement becomes available.
I have driven into Newcastle from out here a number of times  over the past four years only to discover that there had been considerably more precipitation near the coast than here.

What's the call for tonight? Not much on the radar but it's coming down pretty consistently in Redhead.
