I like the idea of 3 races for the grade championships.
Why doesn't HDCC?
It's almost worth changing clubs except HDCC give you a free Giant TCR or Trek Madone (your choice) with every membership renewal.

Also the combined time trial would be good too. I would expect it may take half a day though, unless A & B is one day and C, D, E, F another day. If that happens I will put my order for a time trial bike when I renew my membership with HDCC next year.

DW,

Well, at KOCC we have club kit that includes gloves that say KOCC on them - how cool is that?  Certainly way cooler than any TCR or Madone.

The ITT for KOCC, and any hangers on, takes a while but people are put out there every 2 minutes.  Stressful for the starter and timekeepers, but it does get done on the one afternoon.

I am told HDCC will not be officially joining KOCC but if HDCC members want to have a race on Saturday they are, I understand, welcome to race with KOCC.  More the merrier.

Big shake up in Giro GC happening tonight (but too tired to stay up).

This Giro is great.  Something major seems to happen every night!

This Giro is great.

This may be, but more than a page of this thread contains comments on the local (not Italian) C grade competition.

The Friday night training thread also contains considerable discussion on non-Friday races.
This thread now has so many pages,  is someone about to dissect it as was done a few weeks ago?

Just wondering!

Gai,

Good point, but I guess people just like to chat about things in their cycling world. As one of the Moderators I don't propose to be too rigid unless people want me to be more proactive.

How good are the Aussies going in the Giro!! 3 stage wins, two different wearers of the Pink jersey. Cadel has worn the points jersy and Richie, until today, i think was in the young riders jersey.

I don't propose to be too rigid

I have plenty of spam emails that can help with that.

Yes the Aussies are doing awesome in this Giro, watching the highlights tonight should be interesting, as will the rest of the Giro, can Richie hold on to the climbers on the coming mountain stages and keep the jersey until the end ?

Yes, I do follow the Giro, but probably not the way you imagine.

As I don't get enough shut-eye as it is, I can't watch TV late at night.  In fact, I don't have time to watch TV at all.  If I did, I wouldn't be doing any training, and at my age that would be suicidal.

I glean information re Giro from checking the occasional snippets in the newspapers (of course!), reading any reports courtesy of CNSW and reading the comments on this forum.  That's how I noticed the volume of C grade comments in the Giro thread.

C grade? KOCC club championships? Time Trial this wekend?

I reckon young Shane Ilgen could be a special for the C grade win this weekend!

Monte Zoncolan. The 10.1km climb has an average gradient of 11,9%, with the maximum gradient reaching up to 22%. It was going to hurt and the rider's knew it, many of them fitting compact chain rings and lowest gears of 34x28 or even 34x29.

Ouch.

Cadel still going strong.

Basso showing form (lots apparently).  Thinking about doping again?

Interesting to see who recovers best after this.

Cadel has just clawed back 28 seconds on Basso. He is second fastest with two riders still on course.
