I did have longish hair when I was 16...back when AC/DC was cool for the first time, flanno and jeans were "in", and my ride was a very nice MasterSport steel frame running Suntour (5 speed, I think) and Cinelli bar/stem.  Cost about $400 in those days, which was a lot in those days for a kid working at Big W selling sporting goods (including guns and ammo!).
