Hey - don't forget the CD race this Saturday @ Blackhill
« on: April 06, 2010, 11:01:02 am »
I know this should be in EVENTS but I suspect some people do not check the EVENTS part of this site...

There is NO racing at Kooragang this Saturday, as KOCC (correctly) support CD racing.  HDCC host the 2nd event in the 2010 CD Calendar @ Blackhill @ 2.00pm this Saturday.  Wear your club (or other CNSW registered) kit.

CD racing is usually good hard racing, and the first race at Blackhill is always a tough one after a lazy summer riding the almost dead flat Kooragang course.

No try - only do!

I will not need oxygen -  only people who do not recognise the signs of when to pull out of a race need oxygen. I doubt I will complete a lap...hello F grade.

I will wager but not Vovos - I am determined to drop 20 kg and become a competitive racing cyclist.

No, seriously.  Stop laughing.  I can hear you all the way in Newcastle.

Metro,

Not to be unfair to amputees, but then you could go race with them. Shalom. Is there another way for you to drop 20kgs?

Metro,

Keep repeating these words:

Cause I know how hard it can get
But you gotta lift
You gotta lift
And sometimes that's how it is
But I know you're stronger
Stronger than this
You gotta lift
You gotta lift

Metro - my hit prediction for you is if you keep training & racing weekly you will be in B grade before the Friday night championships. You will get there faster using the Key racing philosophy or you will get there fitter using the Kevin Murray Technique.

When talking to Metro you may need to be a little more specific about what he needs to lift. Metro may think you are talking about that cream bun on the table next to his ferret chi tea with extra honey.

A grade remember to get your teams organised or you will be racing in B grade.

Here is the list of the teams on the CD website.

Has Metro been in you ear, You are in "B grade" son an A grader like you shouldn't get dropped. Metro may be in trouble even when he is in "d" grade.

Woohoo!! Thanks for the Heads up 2nd Wheel.

Might get a couple of laps in if they are gentle. I did notice Ross Harry is in 2 teams for the Central Division.

Here is another reason why I will be lucky to last 1 lap, even in CD D grade - I discovered last night my road bike frame is **** (yes, here come the fat jokes) so I will be racing my track bike (it has brakes) with a SS fitted.

Sorry to hear that. If you ride your track bike it must have both front and rear operating brakes. Also it must be free wheel ( not fixed ). If you need a road bike i could lend you my training bike.

You are either very brave or rather keen to rid yourself of the training bike 2ndwheel :)
