What to do now Friday night racing is over
« on: March 30, 2010, 09:02:24 am »
Starting next Friday 9th April, there will be a second weekly training session on the Newcastle Velodrome commencing at 6pm.

Cost will still be $5 (including loan track bike if you dont have one).

The session will aim to be of longer efforts than the Tuesday ones so come along and dont waste your Friday nights on the couch!

I would estimate that a brief pedal around the duck boards starting at the entry from the infield, through T1 and 2, then departing via the exit to the infield will see you rack up about 120 metres Masso.

I could be on hand at about the half way point to hand you a drink bottle in need. Once you have taken a gulp you could just throw it on the infield. I will pick it up on my way back to assist Craig or Mick.

Will you need an ice bath facility on hand? Please note - no nakedness allowed!

Wow, you are now starting to talk my language. I'm there for sure now that I have a new track training program.

Robbo,

A great idea, and if it morphed in to Friday night track racing (even if simplied) I would be even happier.  Wed nights are bloody hard for me because of work committments, but Fri nights are "sweet".  Also give me an excuse (or an additional excuse in addition to those I use from "Why I am still not winning races!" by The Choker and his best mate ILovell) for poor performance @ Blackhill on the following day - or I might put a SS on the other side of the hub, and race Blackhill in a JWood/Bidg Steve hardman way, albeit a C grade hardman (if that is not an oxymoron, which is not a reference to a dumb teenager).

2 riders confirmed already, unreal!

We were going to see how many riders come along before we thought of firing up the BBQ, but seeing its you two we may have to bring that option forward. Now if Dot boy were to turn up as well we would have to get a bigger BBQ!

Hey Masso - you can win the sprints (like I have a choice) and I can win the endurance events (like you have a choice).  We might form our own cycle club, call it "No Skinsuit Cycle Club", and you can be sprint champ and I can be TT champ.

Metro

Sounds good, but I wear a skinsuit for the track so name of club may be a problem. Maybe you could borrow welbie's flash white one ( Now that would be a sight not worth thinking about)

It might be a tight fit, but a bit of lube might let me squeeze in to it - anyone have a 5 litre bottle of KY?.  Might be a bit loose on young Welbie afterwards, and I am not talking just around the gut area if you know what I mean - my legs are pretty big compared to, well, everyone including the King of Puny, Thor God of the Dinner Table Sledge.

I am concerned if it rains, as white does tend to go see-through and with age I am finding hair in places I'd really not wish to be seen.  Hair no Epilady can touch.

Good to see the Ferret is now enforcing grammar standards on the forum. Best of luck with TTK's posts!

Ferret, hard to believe a man of many words and little talent to show us, not having any scars, very hard to believe.

Yours truly with scars.
