Marto1971,

2ndwheel is absolutely correct son. It is also good for small ring efforts at high cadence. These punters who go to Sugarloaf go up it at 0 miles an hour.........still, some of them replicate that in a race, so perhaps if you train mediocrity you get it.

Yeah not a bad short sharp climb at Murrays Beach, I was taking Melanie there for hill training

This also gives you a few decent hills and some K's

Another good constant hill is Myall Rd, but the shoulder is not as good on the lower half.

I also think the Redhead end of the Fernleigh track, heading to Whitebridge, is a good technique hill - it is not too steep but it is long.  Also no cars or trucks to run over you - just have to dodge the cougars out for their morning waddle
Well, no merger so far....

Metro,

That's why former HD president, Bartel, is on his way to D grade. Anyone who thinks he is going hard, doing 22km/h along Fernleigh Track, with his eyeballs working harder than his legs, checking out cougars, is destined to drop one grade, if not two. Shalom

I thought cougars could run fast, or am I thinking of cheetahs  ?

Or is that only when they have a fast ferret to catch ?

Fernleigh is great except for weekends when it can get too busy with walkers, dogs and kids

do you know roughly how long it is? and is the road steady enough and wide enough to safely average 30-35k/h

The Ferret,

Good to see you still have an eye for detail. I will make my 37th comeback at the CD event at Minmi this Saturday. I m sure that will give you some more things to post about, that is if you are attending? Are you still an "A" grader?
