That's what the truck driver asked.

Let's hope our policeman friend is enjoying his shift on the F3 tonight and inflicting some pain on those truck driving ar$eholes  .

Yes, revenge with a ticket book is very effective.  I must comment though, that most truck drivers are generally good towards us cyclists and give us sufficient room and distance, its just the odd **** that seems to make a point of scaring the **** out of us and putting numerous lives in danger. If they only knew the potential consequences of such actions.

I can go thru my diary and work out the date and time. No rego number, however.

Agree no cyclist should travel south bound on Hexham Bridge. I always ride the footpath.
Well, no merger so far....

It would be a stupid thing to do as the road surface is not smooth and there is no room there for cyclists on the road but there is a perfectly good path that is protected from the road by a fence on the southbound bridge.

That's the problem the path is NOT perfect. It is poorly designed to access it requires a hard left turn and a drop down. Additionally the path is always covered with glass and other debris and runs short of connecting with the access road to Hungry Jacks.

If this track was repaired and more cycle friendly it may tempt more riders to use it.

Cheers

P.s. I would always select this option when riding solo, rarely have I ever been in a bunch that chooses to use that path! (due to it's lack of suitabilty!)

You are talking about a different thing.

The path you mention does not take you over any of the bridges and heads north ;)

We are talking about coming from Raymo over the old bridge that crosses the river.
No longer a Hubbard or a Commuter, just a very naughty boy.

Sorry, My bad! :-[

Forgive me the disorientated pommy!

You are quite right the path over the bridge is the most obvious choice coming from Raymo, even if intending to turn right to sunny Maitland.

I still think the path on the other side to H/Jacks is need of an upgrade!
