Actually he did a couple of times, but never looked like much of an effort.  Still, he was there at times.

normally only go on the front to do a bit of work in closing a gap or something, gives me plenty of time to recover for sprinting :P

You dont have to justiy what you did during the race, just point to the results. it's always the riders that can't sprint who want to cast stones at you. Tell them to harden up and drop you or ride the track and learn to sprint(loosers only rember the winners).

2ndWheel,

The Ferret could stop training for quite a while and still be an A grader. Harden up son, train, then try and match fitness with mental prowess.

I had one C grader make a slightly caustic comment to me after Friday night racing for heading up the gutter and making it hard for him - I did not respond as I thought that was the point.

MC

I think you mis-interpret the discussion, we only shared thoughts about the condition of the course at the end of the main straight. I was happy to be towed through the rubble than be on the front into wind and rubble! Why would you race if you didn't want a hard ride??

I was not referring to your comment as the caustic comment!  I did want a hard race, which is why I rode the way that I did, and I was happy to be utterly exhausted by the time I arrived home.
Well, no merger so far....

Metor,

If you fired up physically in a race, half as much as you do verbally on the forum, you'd be an A grader son.  You could wash your Codral Cold n Flu tablets down with your coke and be "super" competitive. Shalom

Commando,

Would I waste my time running a shop when I toiled for years to earn my degree? Hardly. Only fat bunters and has beens own shops. My assertion alluded to how soft A grade is son. Probably as soft as the Iced Vo Vo's you are munching on whilst posting. Shalom

I have 3 degrees but my friends who run bike shops are far happier than I am at work.  Work is only work when you stop enjoying what you do.

Commando,

Whatever you eat, it is not in moderation son. As for vocation, I agree with Metro, do what you do if you are happy doing it. If not, get out of it. Shalom

Metro,

Three degrees and you can't out The Ferret. You've wasted your time son. I agree with Commando

2ndwheel,

It was only a matter of time before TTK's influence rubbed off on Commando

Metro,

Don't talk it up son. Choose is where you have the control to make a descision. A bit like, "I choose to have this extra portion of creme brulet". I'm sure you understand this analogy.
