Metro, is Skillo the bloke who came 3rd?  Bludged, spriinted, then told his mate (finished 2nd) how good he was...

Funniest thing was watching numbers 1 and 14 trying to win the race by riding as hard as they could, with the entire field in tow, for almost the whole race!

I don't know who is who but the guy in the Weetbix jersey has good race tactics.
He is always up there in the end.

riders 1 and 14 would have been triathletes Hillbilly. I'm surprised you didnt know them.

Dot Boy might go alright next time, I saw him out training with someone today - prob his boyfriend - you couldnt miss the muskstick sucker, he had streamers flying out of the handlebar ends, little plastic balls on the spokes going up and down, and a lovely pink basket on the handlebars! Might have to change his name to Dot Girl

HillBillie - yep, Skillo came 3rd and he has always adopted "the Sprinters Approach". He does have some power but is not a true sprinter as in Boxhead. But then no one in C grade is.

Not sure who the other two you mention are - not remember them at all. Good way to get fit, perhaps.

Daddy - trying to remember who has the Weetbix jersey on. I don't notice jerseys. What bike was he on?

I think it is Bryce Jamieson.
What is happenning with the HVV website?

DW,

I thought Bryce J was in B grade now.  I might be wrong - there is always a first time -  but I thought he had slipped up there whilst I was not racing (because he was in C grade before I stopped).

Daddy Walrus,

Try getting any communication out of HVV. Good luck. The club is imploding. Half of the executive have resigned in the last year. Everyone is angry every time The Ferret attends, which is becoming less frequent due to this and the road surface. Shalom.

I think HVV is very friendly and well organised. I only race there about once a month & enjoy it.
They normally have the best web page with results updated the next day.

DW,

Ferret might be referring to the lack of co-operation between HVVCC on the one part, and KOCC & HDCC on the other part, to co-ordinate the respective club's race calendars so the clubs have their respective club championships at the same times - this would reduce the number of events that exclude non club members.  However HVVCC are entitled to their approach but Ferret does not agree with it.

Sounds like one club would be easier with racing at a new smooth location with some hills and no glass.

Metro,

The Ferret couldn't give a rat's arse about a local racing calendar. I will be doing a lot of opens this year and only care for the State program. I merely stated that HVV is not friendly. People in control are angry, never smile etc. If that's the case, don't turn up. It's a case of, "Look at me, I'm miserable, so now I'm going to try and make everyone else miserable today. Let's start with A grade. A grade 13 laps". Shalom

PS Glass at BH, or the rough pave of Paradise Hills don't bother me. I race on crap wheels locally, not like some of these **** on carbon wheels, deep rims, deeper pockets and no ability.

Ferret,

Careful son - you are starting to sound like you might be a certain member of Team Windsock.

Personally, I have not found HVVCC to be any more or less friendly than HDCC - both are equally welcoming, which is not surprising as I am net contributor to the ongoing financial survival of their clubs (I pay more than I win).
