I have started racing with CCCC each Friday and they run a summer crit series, with an associated multi-grade point score.  As I understand it, everyone gets 10 points for starting (so an incentive to turn up each week) and first 4 places in each grade get points (not sure how many points for 1st etc).

This results in thos who place consistently and race each week being top of the point table.  Elliot Stevens (A grade) is top because he has raced and won his grade each of the 3 weeks, but there are three E graders on equal points sharing 2nd spot (again, consistent starters and placegetters), and me just behind in 3rd (started all three races, and placed 2nd or 3rd in two).

Interestingly, they have good numbers and it seems harder to put yourself down a grade than it is to move up.

Just a thought for our neck of the woods...
