Mark, I'm not a fan of many of our politicians but if this guy is telling the truth about the cycle ways he was instrumental in creating would have been handy around here at times. None of us like to be regulated and we all know there isnt a perfect solution to the dangers of riding our bikes on the road. I ride with the knowledge that there is traffic approaching from behind, and I can deal with that, however every time my son heads out for a training ride I **** myself and prey that he comes home safe. I wish every day we had cycle ways every where!

That said, I rode the new section of the fearnleigh track today (yes I know it hasnt been officially opened yet) and wonder who designed it. The track would be great if it wasnt for the cyclist killer bollards that are placed 2 metres apart and this crazy fence that encroaches onto the track. Strange and dangerous design that has been poorly thought out.

Lame. A regurgitation of old anti-cycling myths that have been debated and debunked.

No fluro vest, but had the Dragster with the card pegged onto the frame and touching the spokes, the longer set of forks from another old bike in the shed, the scate board hooked into the bar behind the seat, and a smoke hangin out the corner of the mouth. Thought I was ridin to school again!

And another article. Doesn't really say much, but it may stimulate some debate. At least it's not another "Cyclists are the worst road users, they don't pay rego blah blah blah..."
