« on: January 02, 2012, 08:34:29 pm »
I can t beleive cycling has become that boring in newcastle as this forum has nothing to talk about...Didn t anyone enjoy the newcastle ride with the hadleys ...I did... no boostland to tell us what racing is happening (when everyone had no idea there was racing last friday night..untill friday midday...thanks to facebook). We have no one to bag out on at racing ..no ones talking them self up  on the forum...I don t know lucky racing gives us some satisfaction, looking forward to 2012 and.... hey come on guys I m bored the cricket is on and I need some sort of entertainment ...WHERE IS THE FERRET?

I'm only new here, but I am a bit surprised about the low level of discussion. I'm used to this:

SO TRUE, Simply Red.

This Newcastle Cycling Forum has become so boring that when I checked it this morning, i didn't even notice that there was a recent entry.
I have become so used to zero imput.

Unfortunately for me, I am not one of the CHOSEN ONES/BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE and I only can read the Facebook stuff using  someone else's account here at home.  One of the advantages of having children.  But it is a one way street, I am not allowed to do anything but read on this FB account.

And there are times when I would have liked to add my opinion.

At least this forum doesn't require anything to join - just apply for registration, no matter who you are or which club you are with.
Have you noticed that there is no real  female participation on FB apart from juniors or women who are not riders.  Maybe, that is why the men/boys like to use FB- Simply Red and I are not stirring the pot like we sometimes do here. Also, Central Coast women contribute more equally on their forum than what I see on HD's FB.

Elefunksoup must have been disappointed that there was so little commotion when he queried which Newie club to join.

As I can't participate in Kooragang racing much at present due to shop committments, and also because I am getting better (and supportive)  track/crit racing/training further south I miss out on the Newcastle scene - except for the one-sided entries on FB,

I guess that there is also the possibility that people are actually riding rather than just talking about riding :P
No longer a Hubbard or a Commuter, just a very naughty boy.

I see today that Iam Ferret has been "added" to the HDCC FB group.

If this is indeed The Ferret, I hope we will still benefit from his words of wisdom.
