Training routes around Maitland & Morpeth
« on: August 03, 2011, 02:06:56 pm »
I have recently moved from the Central Coast to Speers Point & work in Morpeth.

I am keen to train after work around the Morpeth area, especially when daylight saving kicks in.

Looking for some advice & direction re: tried & tested out & back training routes around the area between 40 and 60km (or longer).

Duckenfield Road, right into Scotch Dairy Road, left onto Raymond Terrace Road (only about 200m of this), left into Wharf Road (I think it's called that), back along Duckenfield Road.

Macfarlanes Road, left onto Raymond Terrace Road, left onto Eales Road, left onto Duckenfield Road back to town, repeat loop as many times as you want (has a hill).

Across bridge to Largs to Bolwarrra, out through Rosebrook towards Lambs Valley and beyond, go as far as you want and return the same way.  Good lumpy ride.
