Tour of California
« on: May 18, 2010, 06:27:29 pm »
Another big race full of big names.

And an Aussie at the front.

It's very well patronised considering it's on during the Giro.

What's the go?  A good 1 week effort in build up to July?  A good combo with the Dauphine for conditioning?  Instead of the Dauphine perhaps?

Reckon you've got to do the Dauphine for the climbs. Nothing like racing on the actual hills.

Nobody cares about this one?

Finish of race on tele live now with Rogers the leader.  He only has to stay with Zabriskie and Liepheimer (sp?) to win overall.

Good day to be working from home  ;D

And Rogers wins overall.

Very interesting finish with the top 3 overall hitting each other up the last climb (well hitting Rogers, with him covering).

Also an interesting break just up the road fighting out for the stage.

Good television.  Thanks SBS.!

Yeah great coverage by SBS and wow, what a finale! Literally had me on the edge of my seat. I had recorded it as I'm working nights, so I had to drive home and not listen to the news, or go near the internet until I'd watched it.

Looking forward to le Tour.

Great effort from Mick in the TOC. Such a gentleman to dedicate his win to Aldo Sassi. Lovely man - lovely family - I hope he wins the TDF at some stage
