 :)thanks kooragang for once again supporting the ladies in racing ,what a great turnout  I think there were 32 riders for the handicap thats probably the best I have seen in newcastle ladies race before.And  I think the girls on scratch  put in a  great effort they were flying , a  lot of guys out there couldn t have done a better job(i thtink they said 13.00 minutes for there first lap)no wonder they couldn t be  held  out Again kooragang you did a good job and remember.... GO THE GIRLS.....who knows next year we might see more.

Yes it was a great turn out and the scratch riders were flying, actually you all were riding pretty fast, and the bunch sprint at the end was pretty at a decent speed for quite a decent distance, I was following the bunch from the end of wood chip and by the time I got to the line I was working pretty hard I did not need a warm up for the start of my race after that

 Wow how nice is it for the ladies to get such a rap!! It was the best show up ive every seen. It would be nice to have a few more ladies races each year!!! Vets are running a ladies h/cap with big prize money in august.  Keep up the good work ladies!!!

Ladies there has also been wheel races held on the Velodrome in the past for females only, it would be great to have a heap turn up and have a go at the next one.

The saying "Build it and they will come" might not work here as we need to get more Ladies at the training sessions learning how to ride the fixed gears first, and we need to know just how fast you are over 4 laps so handicaps can be fair, someone that might be a strong rider on the road might not be that fast on the track, these sorts of events favour the big strong riders.
