Some may say (but not me) that you continued failures may be a weight related issue. I'm sure there would be some mechanical equation out there to scientifically prove above problem that you suffer from.

2ndWheel - possibly.  I had less failure when I weighed 123kg, but then the road was much much better and I was probably  a fair bit slower.
