Daddy walrus,

I have observed you race son, and it is fair to say you are an honest, hard bike rider. Whilst not ragging the finish of HVV or KOCC (The Ferret has won at all of them) they are more of a straight line sprint, which requires some placement ability, but essentially the skill to hang on to the wheel. The beauty of the Friday night finish, for the change that it offers, is, like a true crit circuit, the race is often to the corner before the finish, and thought is required. As you say, you need to be in the first 5 at the witches hat, so everyone should be belting down to the witches hat to put themselves in the first 5 to maximise their chance to win. Practice is much harder than theory. Shalom
