Dream the dream son. I can't see it happening. My understanding is that a certain element within KOCC want HD to prepare a document outlining the proposed merger. The problem is, HD don't know what KOCC want. KOCC need to form a sub-committee or hold a meeting away from their monthly meeting and invite feedback. It will only happen if people in KOCC get off their arse. HD, in the spirit of compromise and goodwill, suggested such a thing in the interests of cycling. Perhaps there is another agenda at play or people fear what they don't know. If this is the case, start saving so that you can re-surface Paradise Hills.
The Ferret is set to join a breakaway club simply to avoid the politics locally. Watch this space. As matters have stalled, it is rumoured such a club will get off the ground, on the proviso other clubs remain Cat 4. That way, they don't need a course, just a flimsy constitution (that doesn't distinguish it from other local clubs) and no volunteers/officials are required, just an Executive. I have heard a rumour the kit is being made now!! This can probably only serve to put the same, if not more, pressure on the limited number of volunteers in existence now. Obviously, those not wanting change will get their wish.........at the expense of cycling in general. You people are a handbrake on your own clubs. Be the champion club that you think you are. Shalom
