Famous people seem, in more cases than not, to embrace a "cause" because it is a cool thing to do for famous people. Having come in to contact, in a professional sense, with those who have been subject to violence and those who run programs to assist the victims, it galls me a little that NK probably gets a shite load more recognition than the people who are really "in the trenches", day in day out.
Perhaps one exception I have is Lance Armstrong. You get the feeling he is 100% genuine on his support of cancer vicitims and cancer research. Sure, Lemond might not agree...
