MC - more crits sounds good to me. Not sure if i can turn up tomorrow - but you have raised an important aspect of the 'non-A grade/ burnt-out' cyclist mentality - the brag about how good we used to be or are going to be one day. I don't know why - but it is mentally stimulating to recall your former cycling exploits with exaggerated enthusiasm and threaten a return, whilst covering yourself with claims of being overweight and being too busy to ride (just in case you get sput out the back of D Grade in your first race). My favourite is when you are riding along the road in your much too tight former yellow jersey from when you were 15, and pretending to have a flat when some old bloke on a mountain bike is rapidly catching up to you.
