Well Friday night velodrome traing has obviously finished for the summer months, but training is still available Tuesdays and Saturdays.

If you want some real entertainment, come along to the racing on Wednesdays.

As an extra incentive, from this week we are commencing the A grade interclub challenge between Hunter District and Kooragang. This will be run as a 'filler' event where there is a space in proceedings that would otherwise be filled with nothing, or the next race where riders would still be recovering and not quite ready.

These 2 clubs go back years in their competitive nature and it will be great to see how this challenge plays out as the weeks tick by and the points accumulate. I am sure each will have the view that they will have the wood on the other so lets see who will prevail. In my opinion, just looking at the riders roster of each, it will be very close. There are some very good riders on both sides, and hopefully it will also bring out some older riders who havent been there for a while.

We arent a licenced TAB agent so we cannot take bets, so you will just have to turn up and cheer your clubmates on.
