The race at Seaham was again very good.
There are a few inclines that can have an impact.
C & B were combined as there were 5 x C graders.
It was a fast pace driven by a few B graders and the Matt Taylor in C grade.
The cousre is an out and back 20km x 2 laps.
Around the first witches hat they attacked hard and split the pack. Then it was 10km of high speed riding taking turns to keep the gap. Matt & I were the survivors in C grade.
Thankfully at the 2nd lap the pace dropped off a bit but there were still some more surges.
I find the surges are hard to keep up with. I have to start accelerating when the first person goes not just the person in front of me.
Every witches hat was also a chance the B graders took to accelerate very hard. It does not pay to go around hats at the back of the pack.
It was a sprint finish in the end. Matt rode very well and from that race looked at home in B grade.

BlackHill this Saturday. More C graders would be nice because I don't think I will be able to keep up with B on that course.
