re Tuesday night training
I thought I was rather clever assessing the rain possibilities on Tuesday, after consulting various weather reports and radar images.
Until I arrived at the track to find that the weather we had had in the Wild West was quite tame compared to the deluge that Newcastle apparently experienced.
The concrete in the storm water drain was dry from the wind, so I knew that the track bank would be too - I wasn't going to trudge through all those puddles to view the track directly.
Next time, I will make some phone-calls as well, instead of not ringing until I found that no-one else seemed to be arriving.
As luck would have it, I will have to leave early again this Friday, as another of my progeny is having a birthday dinner.
