Gai,

Robbo probably feels your comments were unreasonably negative, when something positive might have been considered to be appropriate. Think of it from his perspective - he spends time away from his family and his business, to organise (with a small number of others) velodrome events twice each week and the proposed crit course.  He might have felt your comments to be a bit unfortunate.

If you wish to work to increase the number of females participating in cycling, would you be prepared to work on a multiclub committee to promote cycling to women and to organise women specific events?

Well, no merger so far....
