Seaham is a good place to race. It goes out 10km then back 10km over some slight undulations. The worst "hill" is less steep than the kooragang bridge. We had 8 in C grade. So there was nowhere to hide, almost. Steve Brown and Matt Taylor looked strong. Karen Webb looked in fine form coming from her great time trial the previous week. Kelly Ford contributed and looks like he was saving hinself for his 2nd place at HVVV. Unfortunately Steve pulled out becasue his colleague had a problem in another grade. I got a slow leak so turned around and got back in time to see the finish. M. Hogan came from nowhere quite literally, Karen Webb sprinted with him for 2nd, Matt Taylor 3rd with pain written on his face and Bill Cox 4th.

Bruce did a great job at this new location. He looked resplendant in his Commissaire jacket which just commands respect.
