Any questions on handicaps should be directed to Metro Commuter. He has plenty of his own and can advise you on any of them accordingly.

The handicaps that Dot Boy has are not legally allowed to be written on a public forum.

Robbo - lame as your last sprint  :P

Singlespeeder - it is likely that your success in racing, wherever you are graded, will be determined by your skills rather than your fitness.  I found that at least until C grade my fitness was not the limiting factor - it was my inability to draft effectively, failure to corner quickly, and atatcking in dumb places.  Fitness may be more of an issue in A, B and C grade, but there are plenty of riders in C grade (where I currently race) who are much fitter than plenty of riders in B grade (where I have raced before) and some in A grade (I train with some who race in A grade).  The difference between a fit C grader and an effective B grader is how smart they race.  You can deduce from that that I am a dumb and unfit C grader...

In any event, it does not matter - you will, after a few races, end up in the correct grade where you can work on whatever it is that limits you, and when you have done so, move up a grade until you find the upper limit of your abilities.  My view is the best way to improve on race fitness is to race - just riding around solo is not all that helpful unless you have a good program, and there are plenty who have been on programs for years who show no improvement other than a substantial reduction in the weight of their wallet/purse.

My advice, FWIW, is to start racingl

Well, no merger so far....
