I dont mind riding in the rain (light / moderate rain is fine, but heavy rain is shite). I generally put on a light rain coat and the usual gear. You get warm quick and then dont really notice it.

My tips:
- Wear a gillet / jacket
- Head out of town. Dont ride around cars / traffic lights if possible, they are dangerous and the stopping gets you cold. I try and head west onto the quiet roads.
- Keep up a decent tempo to stay warm
- Eat more on longer rides
-  Watch the white lines
-  Pedal VERY easy out of corners/roundabouts to avoid rear end washouts
- Wear a cycling cap
- avoid bunches (ride solo or 1 other)
- Take spare tubes, you get more flats

Some guys never train in the rain, but i dont mind it and i feel its important to get out in the rain now and then for a decent ride, because one day you will have a big race in the rain and its a different ride in the rain.

Just my 2c
