at this stage there are a lot of allegations in what he is emailing, and he admits in these communications that he has no proof. Hence it would be best not to refer to them as fact at this stage.
Personally I strongly hope they are proven not to be fact and that it is just the ranting of a disenchanted ex team mate. The damage to cycling everywhere for so many high profile people to be proven as cheats would be huge. It would affect and quite possibly limit our ability to attract funding, new riders, keep cycling events at the Olympic games etc etc.
Like LA or not, should he be proven to not be clean it will still affect you and your cycling here in Newcastle, and not for the positive. Is that really something to be repeatedly excited about?
There are many positive things going on in Newcastle cycling at present. It would be great if this continued without the hinderance of negative actions happening elswhere that we cant control.
