"If I weighed 60 kg I suspect neither frame would have failed.  If I weighed 60 kg I suspect I might be quicker up hills but slower down them."

When i got my giant at 15 years of age i was 85 kg and rode it for about 7 years without problems. When i first started riding again 18 months ago  i was 118kg and it got me through to about 96 kg, it still works well, but i just wanted a new bike with 10 speed, newer gear etc. I would have bought Giant again only i didn't have the money and settled for some dodgy bike shop brand instead.

Now at 92 kg, I climb enough to stay with a pack, but im pretty shattered at the end of a ride dragging the extra weight up a hill. I doubt i have the potential to go under 85kg, because when i was that weight i was less than 10% body fat which is considered a really healthy measurement
