Thanks for the offer of a loan but I'd hate to crack a frame, esp a "crack n fail" (although I do love 'em!).
The trackie has front and rear brakes fitted, and will shortly have a freewheel fitted on the other side of the hub.

You forgot the  MTB I **** about 5 years. I can not fault the responses of Hadleys and Giant in respect of the replacement of the Giant nor the responses of Active and FRF on the first **** Argon ti - both were promptly replaced and the service from both Hadleys and Active was excellent.
