With my recent chain failures I did a bit of searching around and found this interesting article.

It might be a good idea if anyone running these chains gets them checked out.

The chain I snapped on Sunday was a Wippermann 10SX Stainless Chain, I broke a KMC X10 93 Chain racing in the Sutherland crit last year it managed to hold together and I even managed to sprint to 3rd place with it only holding by one side.

Both chains had hardly done any work as I only race on that bike and I had not ridden them in wet weather as I use my other bike when it rains,
The Wipperman had no indication it was going to fail I found out it failed while I was lying on the road wondering what the hell happened.
No longer a Hubbard or a Commuter, just a very naughty boy.
