As it happens the safety officer is having a meeting with Hunter Quarries truck Drivers on 26.03.10 to discuss interaction with cyclists. This was due to a complaint a driver made to him about an eradic cyclist heading south over Hexham bridge. He will go through The Handbook for Bicycle Riders and Riding in Groups by the RTA to make sure they are aware of what rights cyclists have. He wants to stress the importance of not verbally abusing the cyclist. So if you see a Hunter Quarries or Hunter Readymixed Concrete truck on the road they should be educated in this area.
