justD,

Don't go out straight away and prove to the rest of Newcastle that you are a bunter. Put your head over at racing and have a look at a few punters and their respective bike set up. You will see that some are set up like Superman, some like spina bifida sufferers and then there are some who look balanced. There are many who claim to have this knowledge you seek. Many of them have made physio's richer than they need to be because they probably know less than you (although I doubt this). If you bought your bike on the net, how do you know the frame size is correct and that your headstem length is accurate for your torso/arm length and/or flexibility? Just what the town needs..............another bunter

Your friend

The Ferret

err, thank you?  :o

Well, I bought my first bike at a well-known LBS, they certainly didn't do a proper fit and I suffered with that bike for more than a year coz I couldn't afford anything else.
Then found another LBS that I was quite happy with, except that they were dragging their feet in giving me a quote when I asked them to build up this Surly Crosscheck, so out of frustration I ordered online.

Anyway, I love my new bike and after the fit and some adjustments myself after that, I now seem to be quite comfortable. Just need a saddle that doesn't leave me with a numb-bum (err, I know) after 160kms.

Thanks people,

One of my colleagues also suggested Regent Street Physio, though he is not involved in any sport. I'll give them a try then.

Regards,

Dirk

Hi,

Don't know whether I should have put this into my previous topic about a bike fit in Newcastle , but thought 2 topics might be more informative for people searching in the future.

Anyway, my question. Can anyone suggest a good sports physio please? I have some knee pain since trying cleats a month ago and the pain hasn't gone away even though I returned to riding without cleats.

thanks,

Dirk

Hi,

I'm getting a new bike delivered from Melbourne within the next week or 2. Can anyone suggest a good place/person to go to for a bike fit here in Newcastle.

thanks,

Dirk
