Sorry EI, I was talking about Le Tour De France in the Le Tour 10 thread, but yes, you are correct, there are some other tours coming up between now the Le tour next year that will also be Lance-free.

Highlight for me was seeing him dropped on the Col de Ramez on stage 8 after his crash

Glad you enjoyed the tour then. Only 12 months till a Lance-free tour for you, count down the days.

Good to see Microsoft no longer considers this site a serious security threat to my perosnal details.

Tour over for another year. Had some good moments and some real tough days. I dont know if it was just me but there seems to be a lot more mountains stages finishing at the end of a 20km descent rather than mountain top.

A highlight was seeing Lance in a long opportunist break after his tour was over.

Real tough call on this one. A crash is much more clear cut. You would definately wait but the Schleck incident was different, from where Contador was he may not have known it is mechanical, it could have been a torn heartlidge. Schleck wouldnt be the first person to attack a few times then go backwards very quickly.

If Contador had waited would this have opened the door for Schleck to "pretend malfunction" every time Contador looked to attack always retaining yellow till he lost it in the time trial anyway?
Was it just nerves for Schlek that cost him as he panicked?
Does Schleck want the yellow jersey anyway? It hasnt been very lucky for a few riders this year.
Would you have waited?
Did Phil jinx he by the numbers of times he raised his concerns about how Schleck will have no team mates left when he needs them in the last 5kms of the climb?
Will you slow down for the next mechanical at the gang?
Does anyone else find it hard not to write Shrek when refering to Andy?

I am looking forward to seeing an angry motivated Schleck tonight as he takes out his frustration on Astana.

I heard the interview with Gav replayed yesterday. Still very impressed. Great work to achieve such a feat and achieve one of your life goals.

Sooner or later I will have to toughen up, head out to Minmi, and do my "get ready for summer" B-grade apprenticeship (ie. purchase my 3 DNF's for $30).

I swear i read somewhere in the owners manual i got with my bike that if i ride it in the rain it will desolve. It could handle the odd accidential rain fall (ie it was sunny when i left home).

That might be why we dont get 30,000 people over at the gang watching every friday night, they simply dont know who's who.

I had QLD by 8 in the sweep at work to win $100. It was looking good until Gids gets a try assist for the wrong team.

blanket, a lounge and a good DVD

^^^^ this.

A coach of mine from a few years back always said, if its raining take the day off, it really wont hurt. If it rains two days in a row have another. 3 days, we will start with rollers / indoor trainer sessions, if more we need to look into options.
