Metro,
http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/nsw/consol_reg/rr2008104/
so it is
i stand corrected
NSW Road rules 2008 ,introduced 1st march 2010.
formerly road transport traffic management act 1999.
the way i had it explained to me was it was a LEPRA style changeover in 1999 from ARR to Road transport safety traffic management act 1999. They kept the good and then supplemented the out of date rules.  we where shown some of the old road rules that where still around in 1998 and they where so out of date it was ridiculous.  the tutor had been HWP in Newcastle since 1982 and retired shortly after the changeover in 99.

Metro,
i think i know one of those riders, he wasnt having a good day on the bike anyway
and im pretty sure its the road transport and safety management act from 1999
before that it was just the australian road rules and none of the laws had changed since the mid 70s.

the commissaire banning a rider for a month or so is a much bigger detterent than a 50 fine.

from memory its a standard 56$ fine across the board for all cycling related offences.
dont pay it and the SDRO cancel your drivers licence until you do.
but thats only if police witness it.

isnt it funny that haddo and the ferret are never logged on at the same time.
of course this is like a paintball skirmish against a team of morons.
they would never admit being hit even if it is obvious.

Off Topic Area / Movember
« on: November 04, 2009, 04:26:28 pm »
Hi,

I am growing a moustache this year for Movember.  I have decided to put down my razor for one month (November) and help raise awareness and funds for men’s health – specifically prostate cancer and depression in men.

What many people don’t appreciate is that close to 3,000 men die of prostate cancer each year in Australia and one in eight men will experience depression in their lifetime - many of whom don’t seek help. Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved and I am hoping that you will support me.

To sponsor my Mo, you can either:

•    Click this link http://au.movember.com/mospace/279778/ and donate online using your credit card or PayPal account
•    Write a cheque payable to ‘Movember Foundation’, referencing my Registration Number 279778 and mailing it to: Movember Foundation, PO Box 292, Prahran, VIC, 3181

Remember, all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Movember is now in its sixth year and, to date, has achieved some pretty amazing results by working alongside The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCFA) and beyondblue: the national depression initiative. Check out further details at: http://au.movemberfoundation.com/research-and-programs.

If you are interested in following the progress of my Mo, click here http://au.movember.com/mospace/279778/. Also, http://au.movember.com has heaps of useful
information.

Thank you

if you guys want photos of the mo let me know and ill post em
