Cycling Chat & Info / Recovering well so far
« on: August 10, 2010, 06:34:06 pm »
I must say that I still miss the cycling and hate the mountain bike even though it is on the trainer. But I am doing heaps better and being a gym junkie for now and have lost 7 kilo's thank god. Miss the guys from 2WI as they are a great mob to cycle with. Still a long way of from riding on the road or with anyone else but am happy to cycle in the shed on the trainer even though it becomes a little boring. Can't wait for Friday night to start up again so I can watch and sob on the side line.

Just a quick update I have lost hearing in my right ear and I will be lucky if it returns. Miracles do happen though right???? I'll have another hearing test at the end of January. Eyesight is getting heaps better as I had damaged a nerve but it will return in time. Call me silly but I am still wanting to return to the road in due time......

Hi guys,
Sorry I have not been on the ride with you's yet. Unfortunately I'm still recovering. I was looking sooo forward to riding with you's and meeting you all. Plus at the moment I don't have a road bike but am looking forward to getting it back hopefully soon. Cheers Fast and furious ( Nadeen Mead)

Hi all,
Thought that I would let you know that I am home now and am on the mend. Will have rehab twice a week but that is for balance etc. Everyone has been great and I am keen to ride again. Dr's told me I am not aloud on the bike until the beginning of next year at the earliest. I have to say a huge thankyou to the guys at TWI they are just like family to me and my family. My husband and son have been more than supportive throughout this whole ordeal. Lucky for me I don't remember the accident happening just being told at the hospital about the incident and asking them if the bike is ok. That was my main concearn at the time now it is to recover and get back out their.... Hope to hear from you's again and I'll keep you's all up to date.....
