I have been away from the forum for some time.

Metro is now "right"! :o

Never thought I would live long enough to see that.

Mea culpa Metro Computer (sorry....Commuter).

You are correct.

I have difficulty with my movie history as that film came out in 1978 and I was
not born as yet.

Yeah Metro, you do remind me of Clive. Can't say he is that attractive though.

Dear Mr MC,

If my mail is correct (cough), your prediction may take some time before it comes to pass.

The gentlemen in question is a practitioner of the dark art of triathlon.

Cycling is not his primary sport .  There is usually 3 or 4 hours of road training under the belt by the time

that Saturday arvo rolls around.

Perhaps you could convince him to change sports as I hear that you are a most eloquent orator!

Thanks PH-L,

There are some great photos in there.

Particularly liked the one of Contador with Schleck's reflection in his glasses.

Hey Hilljockey,

Jens Voigt is almost as tough as some of our  C graders at KOCC! Check this out...

..."I’m doing 70 kilometers an hour on the first descent when my front tire explodes,” explained Voigt. “Before I hit the asphalt I actually manage to think that this is going to hurt. Both knees, elbows, hands, shoulders and the entire left side of my body were severely hurt.

“My ribs are hurting but hey, broken ribs are overrated anyway. Fortunately, I didn’t land on my face this time and I’m still alive.

“I was offered a ride on the truck that picks up abandoned riders but I’m not going to quit another Tour de France. Now there’s a rest day and Paris is not that far away.”......

I just love this guy's attitude.

Thats a great photo Robbo.

Looks to be an exciting future for the velodrome as well.

Already had a number of requests from some of the girls that I work with for details and phone
numbers on a couple of the gentleman in the photo!

Yes, they are well over 18 (the cyclists I mean).

Hey Metro,

Why did Argon name their "big unit" bike after a metal that melts as soon
as any heat is applied?

Hope that isn't an indication of how it will behave in a race!
